What is music therapy?
It is the use of musical interventions to accomplish non-musical goals. Social, motor, communication, cognitive and daily living skills can all be addressed through music. Interventions might include creating, singing, playing, moving to or listening to music. Therapy is client-centered: goals and objectives are chosen to fit the needs of each individual.
A Difference with Music was founded in 2008 by Cindy Nawar, MT-BC. A Difference with Music serves those who live in the Southern Maine region and embraces a client-centered approach to working with individuals with a variety of needs.
